Moving from another tool

Rebuild the links you already have, in bulk, without doing them one at a time.

The importer#

Import your links takes a list and creates a smart link for each one in a single pass. It exists for the moment you leave another tool, or when a service you were using shuts down and you need everything rebuilt quickly.

What to paste#

One release per line. Just the address works, and we generate the slug:

https://open.spotify.com/track/…
https://open.spotify.com/album/…

To choose your own addresses, put the name first, then a comma, then the link:

summer-ep, https://open.spotify.com/album/…
golden-hour, https://open.spotify.com/track/…

Keeping your old addresses#

If you are replacing links that are already printed or posted, use the same slugs as before. A fan opening an old QR code then lands on the new page, provided the old service is no longer answering on that address.

You cannot take over another service's domain

Links on someone else's domain keep pointing at that service for as long as it is running. The importer rebuilds your pages on your own address; it does not redirect theirs.

After importing#

Each link is created with everything resolved and your artist look applied. Go through them for wrong matches on anything with a common title, and set the services order on your most important releases. Analytics start from the first visit to the new pages; history from your old tool cannot come across.
