Troubleshooting

The problems that come up most often, and what actually fixes each one.

A service is missing from my link#

Most often the release is not indexed there yet. Brand-new releases can take a few hours to appear on every service, and it usually resolves itself the same day.

If it still isn't there, open the link editor, find the service in Services & links and paste the correct address in by hand. Your version always wins over whatever we found.

A button goes to the wrong version#

Covers, remasters and re-releases share titles, so a match can land on the wrong one. Paste the correct address over it in the editor. Worth checking on anything with a common title before you start advertising it.

My stats look far too low#

Work through these in order:

CheckDetail
Are you looking at the right window? The timeframe tabs default to all time on a link's page. A 7-day view of an older link will look empty.
Is your plan hiding older data? Free shows 30 days, Indie 90, Pro a year. The data is still recorded, just not shown.
Are you testing it yourself? Your own visits count like anyone's. Previews we render for you deliberately don't.
Is it a brand-new link? Analytics start from the first real visit. Nothing is backfilled.

My pixel isn't recording anything#

Press Test pixels on the Ad pixels page first. It opens your real page and reports what actually fired, which settles the question in seconds.

CauseFix
Visitors declined cookies Pixels do not load without marketing consent where consent is required. This is expected and cannot be worked around.
Ad blockers Add a Conversions API or Events API token so events also send from our servers, which blockers cannot stop.
Wrong id The tester checks the id format and, for Meta, whether the platform recognises it.
You added it after the ads ran A pixel only sees visits from the moment it is installed. Nothing is retroactive.

Pre-saves didn't go through on release day#

The usual cause is a release scheduled more than about six months ahead, because the access a fan grants expires before then. The other is the Spotify address pointing at something that moved or was replaced by your distributor. Check the address in the editor matches the release that actually came out.

A fan says the gate won't unlock#

Every step you configured must be finished before the reward appears. If a fan closed the tab during a sign-in round trip, that step won't have registered and they need to press it again.

Progress is stored on their device, so clearing cookies or switching phone means starting over. That is by design: it is what stops the reward being passed around.

My page looks unbranded or plain#

Look is inherited from the artist, not the individual link, so check Settings rather than the link editor. If you have more than one artist, confirm you are editing the one the link belongs to.

My page says it isn't published yet#

Public pages stay dark until the account email is confirmed. Check your inbox for the confirmation message, or resend it from Account. This exists to stop the service being used to host junk, and clears the moment you confirm.

Still stuck#

Email support@louderlink.com with the link address and what you expected to happen. That is usually enough to work it out without any back and forth.
